Our Career Guidance program is for students from class 9 to class 12 as well as science/engineering undergraduates. We offer online as well as offline programs and options for long term career guidance.
Our charges are per student depending on the total number of students. Contact us at careerguidance@theinterviewportal.com.
Why are career decisions difficult??
It is the inability of students to understand how their unique skills apply in the real world, as a result of which they are unable to pursue specific careers based on their interests and skills. The problem should be addressed at the foundation stages rather than at later stages when it is too late. The second problem is how to connect what they learn at school to their careers in the real world.
The first problem can be addressed by helping students understand “The Big Picture” . We do these sessions for students of class 9 and 10 so they understand the different career profiles in the real world before they select their streams.
Stream Selection
We classify and explain the following Career Profiles (“The Big Picture”) and how the unique skills of every student apply in these areas.
- Core Research & Development
- Design
- Communication
- Business
For example, let’s say we have 2 students, one who is good in Communication/Storytelling, also likes science but does not want to do engineering/medical, and another student who is interested in design and applied arts. Once we explain “The Big Picture”, the first student selects the science stream and the 2nd student selects commerce/humanities.
We address the 2nd problem by providing students an introduction to New Age careers based on their school subjects and interests. This is for class 11 and 12 students
Here is a short video of our “New Age” careers program” :

New Age careers based on School Subjects(class 11/12)
Based on our vast experience and knowledge base of conducting 1000 + interviews across diverse fields, we explain how different careers are related to school subjects. We will cover the following subjects :
- Maths
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- English
- Geography
- History
- Social Science
- Economics
- Statistics
- Engineering
- Commerce
- Arts
Through these sessions, students will understand how to build their careers based on their interest in specific subjects. For the first student interested in science (chemistry) and communication, we will explain how they can make a career in sustainability (chemistry) or market research or science communication without doing engineering. For the 2nd student interested in design/arts we explain careers in Animation, Product Design, Advertising or Illustration etc.
Science and Commerce students will be in separate batches.
Our 3rd session is for students interested in Core Engineering careers:
Problem : Today, every student, irrespective of what engineering stream they choose, ends up pursuing a career in IT. This is because they do not understand how their streams (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical etc) apply in the real world.
Here are the details of our Core Engineering workshop.
